1993 Premier League ~ Manchester City vs Manchester United (26 minute highlights)
Posted by 4Dfoot in Highlights on May 20, 2013
A true classic from the Ferguson era. Much to Manchester City’s chagrin, Manchester United are the reigning champions of England, having won the league in 1993, for the first time since Alex Ferguson took over as manager. City are certainly not capable of challenging United’s dominance in the long run – but they can at least try to beat their hated rivals in this 1993/94 Manchester derby.

2007 Champions League Semi Final ~ AC Milan vs Manchester United

After a scintillating first leg at Old Trafford, Milan and Manchester United still have all to play for in the return leg of this 2006/2007 Champions League Semi-Final.
The dark years Manchester United suffered in the mid 00′s are over. In those days, Ferguson’s famous eruptions of anger must have been plentiful as Arsenal and then Chelsea dominated English football, while Liverpool won the Champions League. But Ferguson’s side has risen to the top again, mixing the trusted experience of Van der Sar, Scholes and Giggs with the young talent of Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney.
Milan don’t have much resembling youth. The team has, in fact, been written off as a bunch of old has-beens. But nobody should underestimate a midfield with Gattuso, Pirlo and Seedorf. Besides, Milan can count on Kaká – perhaps the world’s best player. Or is it Cristiano Ronaldo? This game will go a long way in settling that issue for this season.

2003 Champions League Quarter-Final ~ Manchester United vs Real Madrid (Full Classic Match)
Posted by 4Dfoot in Full Classic Matches on January 25, 2012
There was a time when the word Galacticos only had positive connotations. When it wasn’t yet dripping with irony and the image of expensive failure.
When Zidane, Raul, Figo, Makelele, Roberto Carlos and Ronaldo, all dressed in white, appeared unstoppable.
Indeed, in 2002, Real Madrid had won the Champions League. For the 2002/03 edition, they were overwhelming favourites to triumph again.
But Manchester United wouldn’t be Manchester United if they were just going to accept defeat. Even if they had lost the first game 3-1 in the Bernabeu, there was always a chance of a turn around on Old Trafford. Even with David Beckham, in the peak of his ability, limited to a second half cameo.
